Biography

SIMON LANGENEGGER

In 1999, he was awarded the 1st Promotion Prize of the Kursaal Bern. In 2003, he received the 1st Prize at the Swiss Youth Music Competition, as well as the Special Prize from the R.+E. Burkhalter Foundation. This was followed by numerous other awards, including a scholarship from the Fritz Gerber Foundation, the Lyra Foundation, and the Migros Scholarship. Simon Langenegger participated in many masterclasses, including those with Prof. Klaus Hellwig in Berlin and Prof. Karl-Heinz Kämmerling at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. In 2006, Simon Langenegger successfully completed the concert diploma examination with Prof. Tomasz Herbut. Further studies took him to Prof. Pascal Devoyon at the Geneva Conservatory and to the University of the Arts in Berlin.
Simon Langenegger gives concerts both domestically and internationally, whether in recitals, as a soloist with orchestras, or in chamber music ensembles. At the Bach Festival in Bern, he had the opportunity to perform solo with the renowned orchestra “Academy of St. Martin in the Fields.” In May 2024, he was awarded a 2nd Prize at the “Laszlò Spezzaferri International Music Prize.”
